Where does the time go? It’s hard to believe that I’ve had the privilege of serving FPC Beacon for ten years! I’m looking forward to reflecting on the past ten years through the lens of our scripture for Sunday: Matthew 4:12-23. It’s Matthew’s version of Jesus calling his first disciples, and I’m excited to reflect on the ways we’ve been called by Jesus – and done our best to follow him – during our time together.
I hope you’ll also stick around for our Annual Congregational Meeting after worship. We’ll share food together and handle the business of electing a nominating committee and approving the pastor’s terms of call. In addition, we’ll take some time to look back on 2019 (here’s a link to the 2019 Annual Meeting Packet if you’d like to read ahead before Sunday). Finally, we’ll take some time to hear from you about what God has been doing in your life through FPC to help guide our ministry planning for 2020.
*Also at the meeting your 2019 giving statement will be available for pick-up. Those statements not picked-up at the meeting will be mailed out next week.
Hope to see you on Sunday!
PS – if you missed it, here’s last Sunday’s sermon:
