Midweek Message – 10/26/17

Friends in Faith,

Last Sunday, we were invited to listen to what God says so we can see how God sees. And, we got the chance to see a beautiful, young child of God – Avery Irene Gibbs – delighting in her baptism before it even got started!

This Sunday, we’ll hear the story of Solomon and the temple he built for God in 1 Kings 5:1-5; 8:1-13. We will explore how, as a congregation, we share our space to share God’s grace.

This Sunday is also Reformation Sunday, where we will celebrate the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther nailing the 95 theses on the church door in Wittenberg, thus beginning a movement that would change church – and world – history. Soli deo gloria – to God alone be the glory!

In Christ,

Pastor Ben

PS – On Nov 5, we will celebrate All Saints Sunday by remembering those who have died and entered into eternal joy with God in the last year. Please feel free to send us the names of family or friends who have died since Nov 1, 2016 so we can remember them during communion and celebrate the feast of the resurrection.
