Midweek Message – 3/16/17

Friends in faith,

Here’s hoping that, if you’re here with us in the Northeast, you’ve managed to dig yourself out of Stella’s snow! Spring is on the horizon, but it seems like winter will be hanging around a bit longer.

It was a joy to be with you all in worship on Sunday, and to encounter the challenging words of Jesus—repent!—in response to the challenges we face. As we turn to God, we’re reminded that God yearns to gather us up, like a hen gathers her chicks under her wings. Sure, there is other help out there, but I’m with the chicken.

This Sunday, we’ll be exploring the parables Jesus tells in Luke 15:1-32. In each story, we get a deeper sense of how God seeks out the lost and rejoices when they are found—regardless of what we may think of how deserving they are.

But, before Sunday, I hope you’ll consider joining our Presbyterians 101 class that starts on Saturday (see below). And, please be sure to register!
