Friends in Faith,
Christ is risen, indeed! I feel truly blessed by our Holy Week and Easter celebrations here at First Presbyterian. On Maundy Thursday, we heard beautiful music from our choir, we shared communion, and we washed each others’ feet. On Good Friday, we heart the story of Jesus’ death on the cross and heard music from Amy and Lydia. On Easter, we greeted the resurrection morning at the riverfront with music led by Lydia, and then we had our regular Easter service with joyful music from our choir, beautiful flowers, and a sermon on Mark’s unique telling of the resurrection. Listen below.
Pastor Gretchen will be preaching this Sunday (as I’ll be out of town on vacation/continuing ed) on Acts 1:1-14, with the tentative title of: “Christ Has Risen. Now What?” We’ll also be celebrating communion this Sunday as we begin a new month.
Finally, several have indicated that emails have bounced back from my account (email@example.com). I will follow-up with this when I return April 8. In the meantime, please feel free to CC the office account (firstname.lastname@example.org) to ensure it is received.
