Midweek Message – 7/27/17

Friends,

One Sunday, we learned more about how we practice baptism – our dying and rising with Christ – around the font, with each part of baptism explained – as well as the responsibilities of all involved. For truly, baptism is a community commitment.

This Sunday, we will shift to an exploration of the Lord’s Supper with a look at Paul’s writing to the church in Corinth. Before Sunday, I encourage you to read his words in 1 Corinthians 3:17-34, wise counsel for a congregation struggling the grasp the fullness of the sacrament.

Before Sunday, I wanted to share a note a gratitude to all those from our congregation who helped lead worship at the Hudson River Presbytery meeting at the Holmes Camp on Tuesday – as well as those who came simply to attend. Not only did we have a wonderful learning opportunity, we enjoyed being at camp together and several friends from other congregations shared how they were blessed by our worship leadership. Many thanks!

Faithfully,

Pastor Ben
