Outreach

OUR MISSION AND PURPOSE

Among our Outreach Ministries are the Welcome Table Soup Kitchen, Wednesday night Youth Group, Amity Arts Center, and St. Andrews Food Pantry Collection. For more information contact our Outreach Coordinator, Tom Budryk at (845) 705-8790.

WELCOME TABLE SOUP KITCHEN

As our name states all are welcome at our table. We provide no cost meals to everyone no matter what their circumstance. Our goal is to maintain the person's dignity while feeding their body, mind and soul. The table runs on donations of both food and monies from the church members and community.

COMMON GROUND YOUTH GROUP

Common Ground Youth is a neighborhood youth group that strives to "meet youth where they are and journey with them as they grow into who God created them to be." We have lots of fun, do our best to share honestly, and grow together.

AMITY ARTS CENTER

The Amity Arts Center aims to foster inspired creativity in the congregation, the neighborhood, the community and the world by producing thought provoking exhibits, hosting accessible opportunities for making art, and providing space for creative projects that might not otherwise be possible.

COMMUNITY PARTNERS THAT UTILIZE OUR SPACE

We are dedicated to using our space to serve the broader community. Some of our partners include:

MINISTRY PARTNERS IN THE CITY OF BEACON

Some of the organizations with whom we serve.

Better Together

Better Together is a network of faith leaders that has worked to support the Beacon summer lunch program, winter coat drives, and improved relations between the community and law enforcement.  We also hold an interfaith bible study that is both exciting and challenging.

Southern Dutchess Coalition

Southern Dutchess Coalition gathers the broader community for an annual celebration honoring the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The celebration includes a community parade - inspired by Pete Seeger - and an ecumenical service.

Kids R Kids Feeding Program

The mission of Kids R Kids Feeding Program is to work with other organizations, both public and private, to reduce childhood hunger.  We provide healthy meals and activities for children, organize sites and volunteers as well as provide transportation for the meals.  This summer meals will be served at: the Beacon Community Resource Center, Davies South Terrace and Tompkins Terrace.  We will continue to serve the children of the Beacon City School district "until all are fed".

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbour as yourself’ - Luke 10:27
