This Sunday, we kick-off our fall series: Stretching Into God’s Vision, with several opportunities to stretch into God’s vision for the world. During worship, we’ll celebrate World Communion Sunday with songs – and breads – from around the world. And, we’ll hear stories of what can happen with “faith the size of a mustard seed” (Luke 17:5-10).
We’ll also dedicate our congregation’s contribution to the Peace & Global Witness offering of the PCUSA, “…encouraging the church to cast off anxiety and fear, discord and division, and embrace our reconciling God’s mission to those around the corner and around the world.”
After worship, we hope you’ll stick around during our Food & Fellowship time for a special meeting where we’ll (re)learn some FPC Basics, elect new leaders, and kick off our fall – Stretching Into God’s Vision – stewardship campaign.
If all that wasn’t enough, you’re invited to come early and stretch into some scripture learning at Digging Deeper, our new, bi-weekly, pre-worship bible study at 8:30. You’ll have great conversation and enter worship with a better understanding of the focus scripture of the day.
And, don’t forget the Bingo Nursery Fundrasier tomorrow night. Have fun and help raise funds for our little ones!
PS – The Fall Church Retreat is fast approaching, and the deadline for registrations – Oct 13 – is approaching even faster. You won’t want to miss it!
Here’s last week’s sermon if you missed it!
