I’m still riding the big, beautiful wave of gratitude for all the love that was shared last Sunday on my 10-year anniversary here at FPC Beacon. Thanks for the joy of serving Christ with you in this place! It has been such a blessing.
And, the blessings continue this Sunday, February 2, as we begin our month-long sermon series, entitled “The View from the Mountain.” We’ll be exploring the Sermon on the Mount, where Jesus gives a new perspective on who we are and how we are called to live. And, it all starts out with the unexpected blessings found in Matthew 5:1-12.
Finally, thanks to those who stuck around after worship on Sunday for a wonderful congregational meeting. As a part of the meeting, we sought the input from those gathered for the upcoming Leadership Retreat on Sat, Feb 29. If you were unable to be there, it’s not too late to offer your feedback! Please submit your answers to the following questions to: email@example.com by Feb 15:
- How do you see God working through our church?
- How can we more faithfully follow Jesus together?
- What is the Spirit stirring up in your life?
PS – Next Sunday, February 9, we’ll welcome the Rev. Bryan Breault to preach. Bryan will be sharing his “view from the mountain” as Executive Director of the Holmes Camp and Retreat Center.
