Wow. Just Wow.

If Easter Sunday wasn’t wonderful enough, it has been amazing to come back after a week off and see all the wonderful things God is doing in this congregation… much of it really soon (like the small groups starting this weekend)!  Please take a look below at all the opportunities to grow in faith. And, in the meantime, here’s a little teaser for worship on Sunday.

Much love,

Pastor Ben

Spring Small Group Ministry –  We have two spring small group opportuties kicking off this weekend to explore the Book of Acts and learn what it means to be a church guided by the Holy Spirit.

  • Every Saturday 4-5:30pm starting May 4th, hosted by: Steve & Jennn Partlow. Location: 48 Eliza St., Beacon, NY (near the old high school)
  • Every Other Sunday 4-5:30pm starting May 5th, hosted by: Gwynne Watkins & Gabe McKee. Location: 6 Wilkes St., Beacon, NY (across from Mem. Park)

Seeking your Creativity for Mother’s Day: 10am, 5/12 We need your contributions for our annual Mother’s Day Music and Flowers Service.  If you have a special offering of music, poetry, or other reading, please let Pastor Ben know ASAP.  Also, we always welcome people to bring flower cuttings from home. Please bring them in your own vases to be set up in the sanctuary by 9:30 prior to worship.

Care for Creation by Joining a Solar Farm: 11am, 5/19 While it may not always make sense for install solar panels, all households have an option to have electricity supplied by a solar farm in the region… and save 10% on your electricity bill.  Not only that, because FPC is signed up, a bonus will be sent to our church for every household that signs up to participate. Learn more about this program, coordinated by HRP Green, during our Food and Fellowship Time.

The Many Are Coming!: 7pm, 5/20 (in McKinley Hall) The Many is a worship collective whose heart-in-hands, scars-revealed, wild and holy, liturgically-seasoned music is made for people to sing with each other, in churches, in living rooms, in basements and bars… anywhere and anytime we need to remember “all belong here.”  This special worship event – followed by a discussion – is sponsored by Hudson River Presbytery. The Many will also be at the presbytery meeting on 5/21 at 10am at the Holmes Camp (see hudrivpres.org for more details).

Worship Banners Made By You – We’re looking to create something special out of your used fabric donations (see bin at the entrance to the sanctuary).  We could also use your help with stitching and embroidering – contact Gretchen Larson-Wolbrink: gmlarsonwolbrink@gmail.com
